OWEN’S PLACE, DOWNTOWN — With one of his two dogs in tow, the husky, Fitz, he let himself into his younger brother’s home. Earlier in the day they’d had a brief text exchange with Matt informing the youngest Sullivan he’d be bringing some food by sometime after Owen was done with his shift at the hospital. When he entered the room, a takeout box in his right palm, Matt grinned to himself and tapped his brother’s shoulder with his left fingers on Owen’s left side then jumped to the right. It was probably his oldest and most worn out play on his brother but Matt still chuckled every time. I brought you some hash on hot cakes, Matt signed to his brother and set it down in front of him. He then made his way to Owen’s fridge and rummaged through for a drink for himself, opening up a bottle of water and downing about half of it in two gulps. Aileen’s had me running all over the place this evening. Have you been by there recently? Other than the two of them, their grandmother was the only family they still had in Heartsdale since their parents moved away to Ireland little more than a decade ago. Have you talked to mom lately? I’ve got to ask dad a few things about the tavern. Some tax stuff. Matt. paused and chuckled a little. Sorry for the questions. How was work?
