just before i unfollow you: the people getting accused of their work looking like ai art are artists who have poured decades of work into their crafts to make it look realistic but still with a style. it's amazing anime artists who draw full body art of people with detailed backgrounds because of the years of work they've poured into their craft. saying that they're "probably not that good if their art can be mistaken for ai" is so fucking rude when these are the people these ais have been trained on in the first place.
Yeah I know that AI is stealing from them. Which isn’t good of course. And I do admit I’m not a technician so maybe I’m getting this wrong.
Saying that here is what I think: AI art is being trained to collect everything that it finds together and compress it into an imagine. Now when you combine a lot of art it starts to look very widespread and well… generic. I never said that artists who have an "AI artstyle“ are unskilled. Doing those background and skin colors does take a lot of work and pratice, yes. Just it’s all very "flat“. It’s a bit hard to describe what I mean since english isn’t my first language.
