"Oh Sam's sociopathic" "Oh Sam doesn't really care about anyone" "he's a selfish turd" That same selfish turd in question lost EVERYTHING. ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING twice and he tried to be here and better during both but he lost it. This same self centered turd was told he was destined to destroy the universe but didn't even fully desire to. Imagine losing someone, the only person you clung onto SO badly to keep with you that you'd actively traumatize someone for them, only to destroy and reset everything along with that all because you wanted him back. You went through so much just to get him back but only to find out it's not ever worth it so now you're permanently in high school, never being able to die without ever seeing that person other than an old clone. You're never gonna love like that again, especially when you've lost absolutely EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING You've ever known and loved left you outside of that one thing you wished that did leave you. Wouldn't you be devastated that you lost your most important person only to be stuck with your insane, toxic ex that haunts you? Sam is stuck in a loop where he's going to constantly lose everything. He snapped a while ago and you're not getting that back. Nothing at that points considered worth it. MOST of his new "best friends" can honestly be seen as new rebounds of taurtis to cope but even then they'll never fill that empty hole. Shine, Coolment, Owl, NO ONE is filling the void that taurtis left him with. You lose the only man who was with you during everything even what you assumed was your worth.
