How were you insensitive?? You're not making sense. You told him you fancied him and then he didn't say anything really and something about a girlfriend and you weren't insensitive I don't think you know /how/ to be insensitive. Honest, Jay. -Gladys

Well, because, I don’t know. I don’t think he’s quite over his dead girlfriend and maybe it was insensitive of me to say anything at all in the first place and I don’t know. Just kind of wish he’d said something a bit more solid and explicit.

Did I say has? He had. Definitely had. She actually isn’t alive anymore. But it wasn’t recent or anything. I mean, I don’t know how over it he is and--

Oh my god. Maybe I was being super insensitive. I didn’t even think about-- And he had told me about it too before-- I’m a terrible. I didn’t stop to think about-- 

I just messed it up. This is why I don’t like hormones. They make me crazy.

I just think it'll be better for you if you don't go around there. I mean, I don't know. I'm not good at this stuff because, I guess, I just assume it'll all work out the way it's supposed to. Well first off, if you need a pub to go round I think you should find a new one. Not the one he goes to. And two, I think you need to do something to take your mind off wanting to see him, because I'm cross with him and don't think you should see him. He doesn't deserve to get to see you. There's a nice boy in my program, you know. I could start telling him all about you. And he's a great listener, ha! Probably smarter than your policeman bloke. -Gladys

I know, I know. You’re right. And I have plenty of pubs anyway. No need to worry about that. I can stick to the Leaky Cauldron and The Three Broomsticks for a while.

But I also don’t want to seem like I’m hiding from him, you know? Not that I plan on running into him or anything any time soon but–

Really though, I know I’ll be fine. Just give me time and I’ll be over it. I know myself. I’ll just focus on learning Mermish. That’ll keep my mind busy. See?
