Of course, I had to do a little something for the bestie @rooted-clangen <3 Here’s some art of Owlshade finding Rootkit and a few little rambles I have about them. <3

I imagine Owl would find and bring in Rootkit a little after Moon 1 of BranchClan. He’s desperate for more members, and he already has one kit…What’s another one added to the mix? He would adopt her as his own daughter and raise her and Violetkit as siblings. I imagine that Root is slightly older than Violet, but the two would be so close that any age gap they have doesn’t even matter. Violet would tell Root EVERYTHING. Root would be the first cat Violet goes to if she has a problem. Honestly…As adults Violet would probably tell Root about her kits before anyone else in the clan finds out about them.

I feel like the relationship between Owl and Root would be decent. Owl would try his best to be a good father, but he’s a little pathetic and irresponsible so of course there would be some slip-ups. Such is life.

I do think Root would go on and still be a healer. She’d most likely heal cats alongside Fawnkit/spring, who would look up to and admire Root. Starclan and Charfeather would most likely troll her a bit. Let her experience the horrors. <3

And instead of Rabbitbounce going with Violet to receive her nine lives, I think she would insist that her littermate (she calls her that. She doesn’t care if they’re not really littermates.) Root go with her instead.
