—  HEADCANON : huntsmen & criminal database.

penny has a program built into her code where she can recognize huntsmen/criminals who have been put on a certain list. that list is manually updated by one of the atleasian scientists that work on her when she needs repairs.

people are recognized through pictures. the program will analyse someone’s appearance & try to make a connection with a name in the database. if it makes no connection, then it’s to be assumed that person has no criminal/huntsmen record.

if someone is a huntsmen, penny will treat that person like her authority automatically. (a part of her wants to fight against this code.)

if someone has a criminal record, penny will be suspicious until the program has confirmed that the person is in-fact, a criminal. even ex members of the white-fang are in the database, which is why penny will be on guard around suspects.

this program exists to keep penny & others safe. after all, how is she supposed to be the soldier of the future if she can’t even recognize the good & the bad?
