I'm so sick of this!
I'm completely sick of this post that is going around on social media for ages now. The one in this picture. I'm probably wrong even giving it the time of day to rant about it. In my opinion, guilt is making people lash out at the innocents who are dealing with the crap legacy we have left them. The fact of the matter is the people of the 1960s invented plastic and polystyrene. They also were the ones to stop the milkman, reduce the power of the unions and embrace the capitalist economic system of neoliberalism. They also were the ones who began the dismantling of the public health, water, waste system, told mothers to bottle feed their children and that only poor peopl breastfed, embraced new MDF rubbish furniture and dumped long lasting wooden furniture made by hand. The people of the 70s and 80s invented the computers and phones and internet that they now push with their aggressive marketing on the children of today. The children of today are victims of the greed and selfishness of the people that came before them. They do not stand on the shoulders of giants, they sink in the shit we leave for them. We are the shits, not them.
