Minion of the Day - Wind-Up Owyne

Everything in Ul’dah comes down to coin sooner rather than later, and as such it should surprise nobody that the Sultansworn have as much a duty to the royal coffers as to the Sultana herself. The Wind-Up Sultansworn were initially sold for security purposes, built to protect children (or ankles) of law-abiding citizens within the streets of the City. This particular model, though, seems to have sold disproportionately well to young ladies (and some men) for purely aesthetic reasons.

There are rumours that those in charge of the sultansworn’s finances are discussing a calendar of some sort to capitalise on the unforeseen popularity of one of their younger members. In the meantime, having this minion to ogle while it protects you will make you the envy of many.

5. Someone my muse used to like / respect / love, but doesn’t any more

Among the minor NPCs, Kal'istae has grown to respect many that she thought little of previously, but only a few have fallen in her estimation. One of those is Owyne, of the Sultansworn.

(The following explanation is entirely part of her AU)

She and Owyne engaged in a brief relationship. She thought it was just mutual admiration and attraction, resulting in an affectionate sexual relationship.

He thought they were in love. When she disagreed with him, he grew angry and temperamental, and she ended up having to distance herself from him entirely because he continued to press his suit. Fortunately for her, she never learned that he only gave up after Thancred had... words... with him.

But her feelings for him went from affection and respect to annoyance and disdain, and never had an opportunity to recover. Even when they met once more in Camp Bluefog during her trials as a paladin, they were stilted and cold to one another, and it became clear that any affection that had once bloomed between them had withered and died.
