Bork not Bjork!

I was in a record store in Cali recently, saw this Borknagar LP on their wall. It was priced at $45 US bucks! Ouch! I asked for a closer look. I opened it. Looked at the sleeve insert and there were the Borknagar discography on a sheet, all the albums AFTER this one was released! I brought this to the store’s owner’s attention and he was confused and then offered it to me for $17 US bucks instead. Cool. I took it.

But I wonder...if this has happened elsewhere to other vinyl fanatics or even beginners, who think they have an original pressing in their possession, feeling victorious....like you just conquered something huge. Only to discover it ain’t what you paid for. Be careful. Look closely. Investigate! Think. This s/t LP turns out to be the 2004 re-issue. Not the 1995 version. Interesting note, stated on Metal Archives regarding this record: The official website of the band says: For artistic purposes Borknagar chooses to keep the powerful lyrics for this album hidden from the public eye. In fact none of the lyrics from this album has ever been released.  Apparently, track 8 translates as ‘Northern Cuckoo’ from ‘Nord Naaguak’ Ha ha http://borknagar.com/
