First things first, I fucked up and typoed because remembering russian is hard lmao. I meant "Knyaz"!
Knyaz Ozinss is a prince of a moderately russian-inspired [thus knyaz, basically the russian equivalent of prince] kingdom that neighbors Ozzal's! He's also Ozzal's closest friend, lover, and confidante, and their kingdoms flourish alongside each other for it. His people are a very catlike race, three notches above Ron Perlman's Beast on the "catlike" scale, thick fur that thins towards their face, throats, chests, and under-forearms and palms. Wicked claws, tails, all there.
He's also the reason Ozzal became a paladin, and he also technically named Ozzal to boot- Ozzal is a name that, in Ozinss's language, means "my power is god". It's a fairly rare name and usually only seen in paladins that the royalty have deemed exceptional or foresee being exceptional!
As well, you can easily notice that the first syllable in both their names is the same root word- "oz", pronounced "ohz" which is an archaic form of saying "[owner's] power". Paired with an appropriate suffix as a /name/, it leads to it being "my power is [blank]". Ozinss' name means, roughly, "my power is love", a name he gave himself on realizing how important he was to Ozzal and vice versa.
"Inss", pronounced with a hissing "s", is a supremely ancient word that... can't really be succinctly translated? It's like. A deep, intense affection and loyalty so strong it's ethereal and supernatural and so powerful it's legitimately frightening. It's not even really just a concept but it's an action and actor in one, a realization that shakes you to your core and blinds you and leaves you on your knees with an epiphany.
GOOD GOD THAT'S A LOT OF MUMBO JUMBO
