"Someone help me get new shoes before I end up anywhere on the internet."
So the princess did pay close attention. Bashful puffed out his chest and grinned. “It’s ein alpensegler,” he said proudly. “Alpine swift. There were a lot of them around my home ya know.”

Aiden was used to being uncomfortable often himself, so it wasn't hard to recognize the discomfort in another. While he and the other dwarves had looked forward to helping raise the princess, Emma had no idea who they were. He'd come on a bit strong, and he knew he had to back off. She'd have to get used to him before he was able to talk to her like she was a friend.
“Ah, yes.” he smiled as he motioned for her to follow him, showing her to the section of his shop that had the most jewelry. Necklaces, bracelets, and rings, all of intricate design, lay on display. “If you want to get her jewelry, you can look here, or ask me to make anything that you'd like. I … know you haven't got the chance to know your mother very much yet, but I think you could still pick out a gift that comes from the heart, and that's what would matter to her.” It was his way of saying he didn't want to tell her exactly what to get her mother. Snow would be happy if Emma just got her some flowers from the convenience store. Emma literally couldn't go wrong here, but it would likely help strengthen their relationship if Emma picked it out on her own.
“If you don't mind me asking, why jewelry?” Aiden's wares were very high end. He would give a discount to Emma if she did decide to buy, but Aiden had to wonder if she was aware just what she was looking at.
"It's okay to ask for help, if ya need it. It's okay. I need help too."
Bashful blushed, pulling up his beard to hide behind for a moment. "'Sides, at least ya can find people ya like. I'm to shy to even get that far!"

If you stab Doc, you gotta pay for his medical supplies. Do you know how expensive it is to have to keep healing someone immortal? That'll be bandages, disinfectant, and pain killers.
Doesn't know how to clean the floor? Someone hasn't been paying attention in Snow White's home ec crash course.
❝ There’s a cake in the toilet. ❞ Doc to Bashful
Oh no, he'd meant to flush that. It must not have worked. Bashful turned a bright pink, then red, and tried to hide behind his beard. "It's not a cake Doc. It's a horrible attempt at one! I can't bake like the princess can!" He'd tried, but he hadn't even succeeded at getting rid of the evidence.

Things could get awful lonely when you were recovering. That was why Bashful had the goldenrods clutched in his hands as he slowly made his way into the castle. Snow needed attention, and flowers, to cheer her up. But as he walked, he noticed something on the stairs. Something bright orange.
“My, did Doc tear his shirt?” Bashful asked no one in particular, before bending down to notice that it was, in fact, Doc! A very tiny Doc.
“What’cha doin’ down there Doc?”
