Oh no, he'd meant to flush that. It must not have worked. Bashful turned a bright pink, then red, and tried to hide behind his beard. "It's not a cake Doc. It's a horrible attempt at one! I can't bake like the princess can!" He'd tried, but he hadn't even succeeded at getting rid of the evidence.

Can we get Bashful to rate his brothers? 1 being the best and 8 being "why did they make you a dwarf?" You can add in Tiny/Anton if you'd like.
“You’re kidding right? No I won’t rate my brothers.” Bashful paused a moment, before sighing. “I can tell you what I think of them though. In age order.”
Doc: “Doc is great. He’s a good leader. Works well with Leroy, most of the time. Sometimes they bicker but when they do work as a team? It’s great. He’s a great healer. Great at keeping secrets. He’ll look out for you if you need someone to rely on. He was the first one to uh ... know why Bossy wanted me dead. And he never told anyone. He’s loyal and compassionate and, just a great brother.”
Grumpy: “He can be a bit gruff around the edges, but he’s great. He’s another good leader, especially in stressful situations. He’s pretty smart, most of the time. And underneath that gruffness he does really care about people, especially once he gets to know them.”
Happy: “He’s, well happy! Always cheerful and willing to lend a hand. He can actually be surprisingly brutal in battle. He’s fun to hang out with though. Makes it easy to smile. He’s a great friend and brother.”
Sleepy: “He’s wonderful. I worry about him a lot because of how easily he falls asleep, especially when things get intense. But he’s a good friend. Loyal, hardworking. When things are calm he’s actually really great to get advise from. He’s pretty great to talk to and just chill with. If you want things to be laid back, he’s perfect to be around.”
Sneezy: “He’s good at healing, like Doc. Very trustworthy and good at keeping secrets. He can love pretty hard, and he does enjoy to joke and have fun. He’s really sweet and kind. I wish more people would look past his allergies. He’s fun to be around even if he does sneeze every few minutes. A truly great friend if you give him a chance.”
Dopey: “Dopey is the brother we’re all defensive of. Just because he doesn’t talk doesn’t mean he’s stupid! He’s very compassionate, he’s currently going to college in fact! And doing very well too I might add. He’s very smart and very capable and anyone who makes him feel like he isn’t will face the wrath of all of us. Don’t mess with my little brother.”
Stealthy: “We ... never got along, especially after we left the mines. It was my fault we had to leave and ... he never liked leaving. I think he blamed me for it. Which, if he did, I probably shouldn’t worry too much about it. Nothing was going to work out between us. I ... just wish we’d gotten a chance to talk so more, before he ... died. I feel like I knew him the least out of all my brothers.”
(not adding in tiny/anton because i wrote this as more of an enchanted forest perspective. but there you go! his opinions on all his enchanted forest bros)

She thinks she’s really smart with all her books but other people know things too.” He crossed his arms for a moment, before relaxing them. “She ... is really nice though. And maybe she isn’t trying to come off like a know it all. I do appreciate her trying to help my brother ... even if I knew what she told him long before she actually told him anything at all.”

Bashful resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "Everyone knows Dopey's the most important." He was the baby. He was the only one they could all agree on needing to take care of.
"As for who's second, I'll let you and Doc fight that one out."

"Shame on you, frightening a poor old lady." Yzma to Bashful. Might not be sinister. Might be selling anti aging cream that will turn him into a pole cat. Or might be batshit crazy, who knows?
Bashful's hair was standing on end. He couldn't back up fast enough.
"I scared you?" he stuttered out. He'd thought he was alone in this stretch of the woods, only for an old, pale woman to appear out of nowhere. It was too dark to tell but her skin color looked, unnatural at best.
"Gosh, I d-didn't see you there." And he wasn't sure that he wanted to see her now. "Where'd you come from?"
"You won’t even notice I’m gone." Sneezy to Bashful. >:3
"Not true," Bashful protested instantly. It was a gut reaction to argue with Sneezy over this. "I'd notice right away!"
But he didn't even know what Sneezy was talking about, not really. He cleared his throat after his initial reaction, trying not to blush (and thus turning several shades of red.) "Um, where are you gonna be gone to, exactly?"
"You won't talk." Sneezy to Bashful
Bashful blushed and turned away from the younger dwarf.
"Sometimes talkin' isn't easy, Sneezy." Doc stuttered when he got anxious. Bashful just stopped talking altogether, preferring to hide behind his beard.
"'Sides, there ain't much to talk 'bout. Is there?"
