Out of all of Circuit’s patients, Ellie had to be the weirdest. To him it was very exciting to treat other creatures. He was human himself, and every time one of the non-humans in the gang were injured, he always had a spout of excitement- And then guilt, for that happy feeling.

So he had no reservations, there was no problem in getting hold of the blood after all. But, of course, Circuit was still Circuit, and he didn’t know how to potentially start any kind of conversation, so the last three times she had come to his office, it had been a relatively silent affair. This was the fourth time, and he waited for her, tapping his fingerrs on his desk. She was a little bit late.

It was almost like he thought he was being scammed when he saw the listing on the internet for a part he had been trying to find for months on end. But he couldn’t take that risk, either. He’d rather be scammed than not having tried, at least that was his thought. If it turneed out to be real, he wouldn never know unless he tried.

So he’d contacted the seller, though as he was always, he had been nervous about interacting with another person, it had been strangely straightforward, and he hadn’t needed to think for hours just to figure out what to reply. It was straight to the case.

So when he approached the meeting place, he was feeling relatively calm. He hadn’t even brought anyone with him for protection, which he usually would have. He rang the doorbell, burying his hands in his pockets.
