Different Strokes ☼ Kaeli & Elton
While the blonde shuffled through her belongings upstairs, she knew she had left the boy downstairs confused with her comment and she was currently trying to come up with a way to explain what she had meant. Elton was different and like she had said, he was different in a bad way but he certainly was different. Maybe that's why she liked him. She paused halfway under her bed after having just pushed a pile of clothes out of the way to see if the plant had somehow managed to transport it there from the library without her knowledge or anyone else's help.
She understood he was following the rules and being a gentleman for not taking the invitation up to her room, even though she had meant nothing except for the simple fact that two pairs of eyes were better than one. Like she had said, she was planning on snogging him or anything while they were up there, it was just Elton after all. Besides, he had offered to help her search and retracing her steps had brought her back to her room first.
Still, any other boy would probably have jumped at the chance to come up to not just her room, but any girl's room. Now that she thought about it a bit more, her cheeks flushed in embarrassment about what her question could have implied rather than what she intended. She was fortunate it was just Elton downstairs and that he didn't think like that or about her in general. After a couple more minutes of unsuccessful searching all over the room, her blush had managed to die down and she had brought her self together before heading back downstairs.
"No luck. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it had grown legs and walked away at this point." She said as soon as she reached Elton downstairs in the common room, sighing in frustration. She tucked a couple strands of loose hair behind her ear as she thought about where to search next. "Also...sorry for putting you in that spot. I only meant for searching purposed but you were right...anyway, sorry El."
