Daddy Dearest// Mel and Gemma
Mel couldn’t stop smiling. She didn’t know if she ever could. She just married the girl of her dreams. Everyone was happy, she had been dancing all night, and was completely sober, which surprised herself. The wedding was great, the dinner was amazing, and the cake tasted amazing. Now everyone was dancing around and just having fun. There was only one thing missing. Her father. It had hurt her a lot at the time, but thankfully Lola was there to walk her down the aisle. Gemma had talked to her after the wedding, and she was starting to come to terms with it when there was a slamming door.
She looked to the side and saw a tall man with a beard and dark hair. He had a leather jacket on and jeans, sticking out like a sore thumb. Mel felt her pulse quicken, walking over to the man. He looked around and saw Mel, giving her a smile as he tucked what seemed to be a flask in his jacket pocket. “Melinda. Sweet party.” he slurred as she walked over. Mel felt her smile fall, realizing that her father was not only late, but completely wasted. She glanced over her shoulder towards her mother who was standing completely frigid, and her now wife, before turning back to him. “Thanks....Dad.”
