Mina leaned against the doorway, looking all too smug for someone in snowman pajamas. “You didn’t tell me you had a girlfriend.” She shouldn’t have found it so amusing, but this was her payback for letting Junie tease her for her love life all the time.
She plopped onto the couch near where her sister made a nest out of blankets, holding both cups of hot cocoa just out of her reach.

Amsterdam showed up at the swings twenty minutes after receiving the text. Of course he took his time, shrugging on a black jacket that covered his frame excessively and let his hair do what it wanted, never really one to try and comb out the mess that was his curls. Sitting down next to the only person there (who he guessed had to be the twat muncher who was texting him in the first place) he let his fingers wrap around the cold chain and looked to the side, waiting for her to break the silence.
