“Balcon?”
Matteo chewed on the inside of his cheek as he stood in front of the office. His fingers itched towards the cigarette he had in his pocket, but he instead wiped them on his pants. It would be kinda rude to smoke in a teacher’s office like this. Instead, he wrapped his knuckle on the door. “Mr. Bhatt? Are you in there?”
Haleigh had been feeling uneasy about her chat with Sadie. She knew that the girl was not okay with this whole Niall thing. She knew that Sadie wanted her to be happy but at what cost? Was she sacrificing her daughter’s happiness for her own? Everything was so complicated and Haleigh didn’t know what to do. She had tried every relaxation method she knew. Laying out at the beach, soaking in a hot tub, having a nice cuppa, taking a nap..there was just one that she hadn’t tried. Spending time with Louis. Even now, he always knew what to say and if she didn’t want to talk about the issue, he would know to keep her mind off it. They were the perfect duo and this was one of many reasons.
After changing into a pair of sweats and a t-shirt, Haleigh grabbed the Doncaster Rovers blanket that she brought from home. Of course, it was the one she stole from Louis so many years ago. She smelled it, suddenly feeling homesick. Before she went to find Louis, she went to the refrigerator and grabbed a carton of ice cream and two spoons. Once at Louis’ door, she knocked lightly, waiting for him to answer and giving a small smile when he did. He had probably seen this scene a thousand times. Haleigh coming to him with a blanket and ice cream, that is. “Love me?” she said, shrugging a little.
Marcus paced back and forth in his room, thankful that Tj was absent from it. He hadn’t slept in almost 48 hours because of what he was putting himself, and not to mention Riley, through. Marcus had feelings for the guy. Like real feelings. The thought scared Marcus. The comments about having two dads from over the years played in his head. When they were said, they didn’t bother him but thinking about them now, for whatever reason, it bothered him. Marcus would only let Riley go so far before he pulled back and remember everything he had heard from people all his life. He loved Harry and Louis more than anything on the planet but the thought that he might be gay scared him.
He needed to talk to someone. He needed advice. Marcus left the room and found himself walking swiftly towards his fathers’ room, careful that no cameras were around. This needed to be private. He knocked on the door and entered as soon as Louis answered the door. “I need to talk, Da..” Marcus said, resuming his pacing just as he had previously. “It’s serious..” he sighed, finally stopping to look at his father. “H-How did..When did..” Marcus groaned in frustration, unable to form a coherent sentence, “How did you know you had feelings for Harry?” he finally managed.
As the taxi sped off, Georgia was rattling off a stream of curses as she struggled to pull her two suitcases over the curb of the sidewalk. With a sharp yank, the girl pulled them off the dark pavement, wheeling them into the complex. She ducked under the long shaft meant for blocking cars for coming in without a code, struggling to pull the luggage in after her. Her nap sack weighing heavy on her back, Georgia trudged deeper into the community grounds, looking around for her brother, who had said he would help carry her things to the flat. No, no- not her brother. Just Louis. She released the handles of her suitcases, running hands through her light brown hair, finally feeling the weight of her exhaustion that had been building up these past few days. Her throat tightened as she realized she was about to actually come face to face with Louis. Although she had played this scenario over in her head for years, coming up with various ways this could turn out, Georgia's nerves twisted her stomach in a knot. She wasn't prepared. But it didn't matter, she was already here.

Time: Friday Evening, January 8th, 2024
Setting: Empty classroom set up for duelling, Hogwarts Castle
Notes: After their conversation that ended up turning into a sword fighting challenge, Louis and Ana engage in a bout to determine who’s better at fencing. But there’s more at stake than Ana cares to admit.
Ana:
The long duelling stand seemed much bigger in person.
Ana stared at it, taking slow steps around the big classroom. Her attention shifted from the great, big windows, to the impossibly tall ceiling, to the moving paintings that almost seemed to be following her around the room. While it wasn’t Durmstrang, the institutes were almost similar in their grand stature. Towering ceilings and long hallways, cold stone walls with flickering candle-light to guide the way, and a winter that made her feel at home.
The staircases, it seemed, were destined to throw her off-guard. But she’d managed to find her way to the room she and Louis had arranged to meet in, at least. In her book, it counted as a victory, even if the castle had over a six point lead on making her take the wrong turn. Not that she’d admit it to anyone, - she was determined to find her way, with limited help, despite how friendly the other students were. The first years needed help, not her.
Stepping up onto the stand, Ana twirled her wand between her fingers absent-mindedly, taking cautious steps along the stand in the straightest form she could manage. She took a deep breath, focusing in her balance as she waited for her opponent to arrive.
