Andy Samuels, that was his name. That was the name of the boy that so easily pried himself into Sophia's shell. She had done such a good job of building up that strong wall, and in just a few short sentences he tore it down. She gave in, she agreed to a date. And she was terrified. She didn't go on dates, she didn't even let boys into her life. Her father had ruined that for her. Ruined the possibility of a boyfriend. Men scared her to death. So why was she going out with this Andy kid? Sure he was cute, and somewhat charming, but she was sure it was just an act. That's how all guys were, right? They would say anything to get a girl when they wanted them.
Letting out a long sigh, Sophia slipped into the shower. Letting the warm water hit her tired body. Finishing up she grabbed a towel and walked to her bedroom, standing infront of her floor length mirror. The bruises from last nights run in with her father were finally staring to show. She brought a hand up to one and applied pressure, it still hurt. "Great" She mumbled as she let the towel fall, walking to her closet. She searched for something to wear, something to cover her bruised skin, settling on a pair of skinny jeans. It was hot on the island, but Sophia was used to the climate, she was also used to long sleeves. Fixing her hair she sat at her vanity, applying just some Chapstick and mascara. There was no need to get all dressed up, who was she trying to impress? Sliding on a pair of gladiator sandals she grabbed her bag and walked out of her room. She took slow steps, searching for any signs of her father but he didn't seem to be around. Walking out of the house she walked into town, waiting for Andy.
