Twenty nine | Aphro & Set
For @setxmp
Aphrodite loved the twenties; all glamour and parties, and irresponsible behavior. Thinking back, she realized how long it had been since she last met Set - the Egyptian God of Chaos who she had adored all of those years ago. She had always liked the bad boys, and finding one who was as eager as her to mess around with the mortals was the best part.
1929 - the last laugh that she and Set had had together. They spent the days in a hedonistic haze, thrilled by the pleasures that the mortal world could provide them, and then ended the fling by watching it all crash and burn around them. The mortals were in such ruin after the incident that they even gave it a name - something about a crashing wall.
“Set, Darling, are you in?” Aphrodite’s sweet voice was the same as always, entering the tattoo parlors followed by the lingering scent of roses. She wore a long gown, flowing behind her and a little dramatic for so early in the afternoon, with a long slit that ran up her leg to reveal a pale, soft thigh. The delicate skin almost shimmered in the light and, just peeking over her shoes, was a delicate dove tattooed to her ankle. Set would be familiar with it. “I know that it’s been a while, but I do expect a proper greeting.”
