vischio | serena & quinn
It was an early rise for a weekend, and Quinn was looking to stoke the rest of the chilly morning with the first fire of the day. It was strange to see the common room decked with festive tinsel and wreathes, even if Slytherin had the colour for it. He reached the fireplace and with one jab of his wand, the stiff cold air melted in the warmth. As he grabbed a couple of fresh logs, he noticed a small box on the mantelpiece. It had been filled with mistletoe and he'd been tasked to place them in strategic locations around the castle. Instead Quinn had left it there sitting, but unforgotten. No one dared to take one, not while the room was filled with curious eyes, but when sunrise came all was left was a couple of wilted leaves and bare twigs. He glanced around the room. Around him several drops were made but one particular spot caught his eye. He had to laugh. A mistletoe above the doorway to the girls dormitory. It was, objectively, a clever move. Quinn sighed, pushing himself towards the very same door. It might've been clever, but clever tended to border dangerously on annoying. He didn't like the idea of having to disperse a crowd of students who'd been waiting for their turn under the holiday tradition. He steadied a hand on the frame while the other reached up and pulled on the mistletoe. It had to have a sticking charm of some variant because it hardly moved a budge. It took one last hard tug for it to come completely off, but before he could celebrate something, someone crashed into him. Enchanted mistletoe. God damn it.
