Since they were in a school of mutants (which they knew probably want the politically correct term, but used anyway), Luke knew they might as well train their own mutant powers. At first they were just doing small things - zapping from one side of the path to the other. It wasn’t anything new, but it was good to get warmed up. Eventually, after about an hour of dotting about the campus, Luke decided they wanted to relax and head back to their dorm. Well by this time, they were starting to feel confident; who needs to walk to their dorm, when they can teleport?
Apparently the answer was Luke Grimsby. Even though they’d visualized their dorm room perfectly, and even though it had seemed that they’d gotten it right when they first teleported in, when Luke turned to look at his bed, he saw someone that was definitely not his roommate. “Oh...” Luke stood their awkwardly as realization began to dawn on them. “This.... this is not my room, is it?”
