For those that are interested and unaware “PROJECT: What’s that?” or “P:WT” is an attempt to get myself back into reading more regularly and help myself get back into the process of learning new things, hopefully daily. For those interested in following along I’ll be tagging each post with “P:WT”.
Topic #1a: Post-humanism.
This is a concept which touches on the idea of entering a state which goes beyond the current state of being Human. The theories and philosophies cover law, ethics, communication, interspecies communication, and social systems. It differs from Renaissance Humanism in that the ideal post human being is capable of fluidly swapping perspectives and diversifying their outlook while still remaining impartial and objective.
There are many theories involving the thoughts of what a Post-human future would look like. Many believe that Humans and Post-humans would live side by side, although it seems to make sense that the Post-humans would end up standing above the current idea of humans, simply because they surpass so greatly in their capabilities.
Some think that the Post-humans of the future will be so wildly different from the current model in technology, intelligence, and capabilities that they would hardly be human anymore.
