Why he only came out during the night time, Alexander didn’t know. The city was so chaotic already with everything that was happening that he almost became like a ghost wandering through the people in the day time. So he didn’t have the excuse to say that he was afraid about being caught by the guards. He also didn’t have any real reason to be out at night other than to stare at the stars, but not being at the university anymore, he couldn’t learn anything knew from them. And it was almost becoming lonely to go out to the forest everyday.
Another excuse he probably had was that a certain someone got off at this time at night, but he rarely talked to her now since the ball. They had the one run in, but the word ‘awkward’ was the understatement for the ages. He loved her, she knew it, and she still managed to reject him. Saying it was her not him, but he barely thought that was true. So, he just wondered around the city at the twilight hour, the streets emptied and just as lonely as the forest floor. He stopped, sighing out heavily, muttering to himself how pathetic he was before shaking his head and turning back around to go home.
He turned a corner without really looking for any sort of traffic, and bumped into someone much smaller than him. He grabbed their arms quickly to keep them from falling. “I-I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I wasn’t looking. I didn’t mean to bump into you.”
