While grocery shopping, Jinyoung did not allow his typical sidekick, Haunter, to accompany him, knowing the messes he could potentially get himself into, surrounded by both tons of food and people alike. But as most with Pokemon in their lives, the male felt empty without at least one of his party members by his side. The girls, Drifloon and Froslass (nicknamed Harley and Selena, respectively), were the best behaving of the bunch, so public outings were done with either or both. On this particular evening, Froslass was napping, so string limbs were tugged at, and Jellicent was left in charge to take care of the others.
Though a fan of each and every one of his Pokemon, there was no helping in swooning over Drifloon sometimes. She was one of the first Jinyoung had ever caught, and her being a rare shiny made his love that much larger. Many moments were spent poking and prodding at bright yellow exterior, as opposed to the typical purple, despite the fact that it got on Harley's nerves. When out and about, eyes stayed glued to the pair, and the gym leader could never be sure whether it was due to her rare color scheme, or because of who he was.
Being a trainer who hand-made all his Pokemon's food, Jinyoung was rather nitpicky about what ingredients went into the things he cooked. So, as he checked the back of various bottles, he didn't even notice strings de-tangling from around his wrist, and he also didn't notice Harley floating away after some random pretty girl standing in the same aisle. He had no idea that the balloon Pokemon were known for trying to kidnap people.
