we both went mad || james & lily
With dinner come and gone, every room in the house marveled it, and having found the host of the evening to give her thanks, there wasn’t much left on Lily’s list of to-dos that evening, except finding James of course. She had already given up most hope at seeing Marlene or Mary again if the chaos that was still building around her was any indication of how long the party was going to go that evening. Sebastian had mentioned sunrise fireworks hadn’t he? Indeed there was only one thing she found herself wanting to do now and that was spend time with James.
It took a few rooms until Lily had found him, catching sight of his ruffled hair as he hunched over one of the many drink tables, no doubt fixing himself another. A bit lightheaded herself, especially with how early Marlene had started them off, Lily didn’t think she could handle any more. She certainly didn’t intend to get this level of buzzed that evening, but couldn’t say she wasn’t enjoying it. Inching up beside James, a faint flush on her face along with a smile that showed in her eyes, she leaned up against his arm. “Have you been hiding somewhere all night Mr. Potter, because you’ve been impossible to find.”
