Aftershock - Connor // Max

Two-hour lunch break. Two hours was all Connor Underwood had to spent time with his old man before heading back to the courthouse. He wished he had more time though. With his busy life as a law student, his internship with Whitney and working under the mayor, Connor’s life was busy. His father understood though and was overly proud of his oldest child who never gave up on his dreams. Running a hand through his buzz cut hair, his hazel eyes scanned the street in front of the fire station, looking for his father’s car. Though there was no sign of the car, that didn’t dampen Connor’s attitude.
Not one bit. He had no problem with hanging with the guys until his father showed up.
Making his way to towards the station, Connor glanced back at his car and hit the lock button on his remote starter. He knew that there was no way in hell that someone would be stupid enough to steal his car, but he was still paranoid. Pushing the door open as if he owned the building he asked “Anyone seen my old man?” A warm smile on his face, as he loosen his tie and lazily threw his jacket onto an empty chair. The fire station was his second home and everyone here was like family to him, or at least on friendly terms with them. “He better not have ditched me.” He joked to no one really as he sent a text message to his dad.
