She blinked profoundly, finding a tilt in her head at an angle that had her befuddled in mere moments. She had never had a human friend withstand her this long, nor had she had a human friend period. Finding Tyler at the entrance to her secretive den with the mere words still ringing in her ears, she was put off track a few seconds. Her accompanied hardships into making her friendship last with Tyler was put to the test, but it was at least a question she was capable of understanding right off the back— but it took more so to answer than not.
Shaking her head quickly, her face found that smile that had always accompanied her lips to remind those around her who she was. The girl who smiled over anything, rather she was crying, petrified, angry— she always had that smile on her face to show those who both knew her or not, that she was something. That she wasn’t just a simplistic woman who grew up in the woods. That she was a woman with a spitfire personality. A one of a kind.
With an almost side step, she moved for Tyler to gain access into her home. The home away from home and the home she had just realized Tyler had never been to. ——Till now.
“C’mon in, Ty! I know it not much of’a home
you are used to, but it can be cozy. Kunie
can make ya a bed. ——Uh, is somethin’
the matter?”
In all honesty, it was just a stroke of luck that Tyler happened to stumble upon Kunara. He had just been taking a walk through the woods, trying to blow off some steam, when he could have sworn he had seen a familiar face in what appeared to be a den. And honestly, if he hadn't seen her, he wouldn't have noticed that it was there at all.
But once he asked his question, he shifted his weight from foot to foot as he waited for his answer. She could very easily just say no, he knew, considering he just sort of appeared out of nowhere. Not exactly the most polite thing to do. But the fact would still stand that he would need somewhere to sleep for the night.
That's why a wave of relief washed over him as his friend agreed to let him stay. "It's alright, Kunara, if it's home enough for you, it's home enough for me," he said quietly.
A few moments ago he had been angry, seething almost, but now he felt calm, dejected almost. Just leave it to his emotions to do something like that to him. He sat down on the ground at her question, sighing slightly. "Yeah, I got kicked out of my house," he told her, pushing some of his hair out of his eyes, deciding just to cut to the chase.
