❝—Vibrant❞ (Zachary Quinn)

It was a given that being royals would mean more time sitting down and talking about politics. They would need to be polished till they were standing ramrod straight with elegance that were expected. It was a given that they would be bound to their duties, like invisible chains keeping them in place. All of this and more were experienced by children of the white queen, Oliver more so than the rest (because he is the crown prince, he must be elegant, he must be proud, be must be perfect--) and it eats away at what’s left of his innocence till he is too tired.
It also means that he does not get to see his family (Elliot and his Mother excluded) as much as he would like.
Oliver loves his family more than anything, would do anything and everything.
And so he is delighted when they are complete to sit down for breakfast.
The morning then is filled with energetic chatter and lingering laughter, no trace of those chains wrapped around their necks, only the warmth of family. Their mother, who is at the head of the table, watches with a warm, fond smile on her lips, the rare sight of her children all together a beautiful thing. Oliver watches his siblings talk, watches his Ellie converse with no hint of that anger he sometimes sees when one of his siblings talks to him, and he is glad.
The brightest, icy blue eyes then trails towards his youngest brother, and for a moment, he only sees Zac. Oliver realizes they do not have much memories together, if at all, only glances and occasional skinship till the oldest is whisked away for duties and the youngest is tucked away in his room, doing only he knows what. Oliver does not like it.
“Zac.” He calls out fondly over the chatter of his siblings and mother, and it was only Ellie who takes notice, but keeps quiet,
“I shall be doing rounds around the land today, would you like to come?”
