personal style: rodney likes to be comfortable but he also likes to be the center of attention. bold colors, mixed fabrics, and t-shirts with you’d have to see the movie to get it quotes emblazoned across the chest are go-tos. he loves a good jogger paired with some sneakers and a ball cap. there’s absolutely no formalwear in his closet; he rents a suit if he needs one. he enjoys carrying around a beat-up backpack despite having nothing to put in it (textbooks? where?) and he won’t hesitate to rep swag from other schools if he got a good deal on it at a thrift shop near campus. 

background & personality. 

born in los angeles as one half of a pair but grew up in the san diego area until his family moved to philadelphia when he was ten. 

his mom is a meteorologist and his dad’s a composer & music teacher. 

along with his twin sister, he also has an adopted younger brother that is four years his senior and his parents just had a baby girl after rodney and his twin sister moved out bc they couldn’t deal with their nest growing smaller. 

his childhood was a bit weird. his uncle has lived in their basement for a while now and with his father teaching music out of his home studio, the horowitz house always had people bustling in and out. 

rodney’s always been a bit of a fuck up, especially compared to his twin sister. headcanon that he’s going to end up flunking out of college shy of a few credits but pretend i didn’t say anything. 

he’s never really responded well to labels. he’s not an extrovert but he’s not an introvert either. he just exists somewhere in the middle, able to maintain a conversation with just about anyone without worrying about where it’s going but also not confident enough to approach the other party first.

he’s very touch and go with relationships. he’s had girlfriends here and there throughout the years but nothing ever sticks. 

in an ideal world, rodney would keep the same group of friends for a lifetime. they'd never have a falling out, never leave him behind when they went on to bigger and better things while he keeps fucking things up. things would be so much easier if people weren't expected to grow.
