I should have known upon seeing your green eyes for the first time that you would be a rare and special kind of person.
Even though we spend most of our time teasing and annoying each other, you make me so happy. Even though our conversations are rarely serious, you make me see the world differently. Even though we're young, you make me see how amazing love is.
Everything is so easy with you. I’m not saying you’re basic or someone to pass time with, I’m saying that life is just easier with you. When I’m with you, life doesn’t seem as scary or difficult as I once thought. I can be myself knowing you love who I am, I can laugh at everything with you, and I can tell you how I feel without any fear. Life is simply wonderful with you in it.
You grabbed my hand and we ran across the grass together. We were both laughing like children while our hearts were soaring. It wasn’t anything super romantic, but I felt so alive in that moment. It was then I realized that love doesn’t have to be complicated or grand. It really is the little things that make love so wonderful.
We pressed our lips together and time stood still. Everything around us faded away and it was just you and I. It was just our bodies together, our hands on each other, our lips, and our feelings for each other. It was one of the most pure feelings in the world.
Promise me that there will always be an us? Life will happen, there might be other boys or girls we meet, but promise we’ll always talk? People like you and feelings like this are so rare and I never want to lose them. I want to keep your light in my life because it’s amazing. I know our feelings may change, but promise me we’ll at least always be friends and we’ll stay in each other’s lives?
I’ve become so lost in you. Whenever I look at you I remember all the wonderful reasons I’m in love with you. I also remember how you came into my life when I needed a miracle. You were the one who made me truly believe I was beautiful and you were the one who made me smile when no one else could. You saved me. So when you see me look at you with a smile, just know that you mean the world to me.
