🌊 distractions.
there weren’t many times when the cafe wasn’t filled with students, but when it was slow, it was unbearably slow. it was those times that bora dreaded the most-- the fast pace was what helped her work so well, and with that element removed, she was reduced to wiping the same spot on the counter over and over, organizing and relabeling product, or yapping the ears off whoever was nearby when there was truly nothing left for her to occupy her time with.
between the end of classes and dinnertime was one of those slow times, and for the past ten minutes bora had been hiding out by the pantry, browsing through inspiration boards on her phone to keep herself from being lulled into a coma. how anyone could even want to work a whole day at this pace, she would probably never understand. the jingle of bells as someone stepped through the cafe doors was one of the best sounds that she could’ve asked for, and without a moment of hesitation, she raced back to the counter to be of assistance.
it wasn’t something that she often did, but the lack of tasks for her to do was enough for bora to bring the finished drink to taehyung’s table instead of calling him up to the counter to retreive it. “you’re not busy, are you? mind if i join you for a bit?” she asked, before seating herself across from him anyway. there were no books in his hands or anything of that sort, so she was willing to assume that the answer was obvious. “i’ve been thinking about this for a while... if you had the chance to erase any one memory from your existence, would you do it?” // @cvtaehyung
