Corinne congratulates her team like they just launched a rocket from Cape Canaveral, at least for Corinne the stress levels feel the same. The debate might be over but, the night is far from that. Her next task starts now— her mission should she choose to accept it is securing William Bell’s running mate. But first...she’d have to secure one William Bell. She makes her way into the green room and greets Cindy with a congratulatory hug before turning to Will “I think that went absolutely swell,” she says with a satisfied smile. “In fact there’s a very important person waiting for the both of us near the bar,” She begins making her way to the doorway, expecting Will to be close behind her.

 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀twas a Tuesday night. A wine bar; moderately packed. People just like her; blondes with loose curls and men with slack ties. She sat patiently sipping a manhattan, as her nails chatter against the glass of her cellphone. Silas was one of those people who was nearly impossible to get a hold of— she hadn’t seen a single call, or email or text, it was almost as though her assistant was screening him. Seemingly, meetings with him only existed on his terms and never her’s. But suddenly, like a light in the dark; a bright red circle appeared at the top right corner of her email app. An invitation for drinks and important discussion. 

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Decked in Cher Horowitz pink, she gazes around the room. Lifting her glass to her lips, she takes a sip before spotting him. With a bright smile she stands to greet him with an embrace.”I was beginning to think you hated me, Mr.senator,” her tone playful as they both take their seats. She waves over a waitress before continuing, “But I’m glad you’ve invited me out for a serious matter, whatever that may be.”

Like an idiot she assumed the senate office buildings would come with an easily understandable, tourist accessible, pamphlet like map. To her dismay, there wasn’t and instead after being thoroughly searched, she was given a one off set of directions through a maze of twisting corridors.

Though she knows she’d eventually find the office anyways, she couldn’t help but freak out for a solid minute and 27 seconds. Once calm she hurries down halls, hot coffees in hand, decked in western business casual Elle Woods would be jealous of. She understood that she was in a building with the last people on earth who’d have time for her but, she’s hoping the overall excitement in Washington would help the senators feel more amicable.
