it's cold outside.
Quite typically, whenever it came to relationships, particularly those that were had with other males, Joonmyun was nothing if not picky. Yes, perhaps he might be able to maintain successful friendships with a number of different people - though being a new student had made it somewhat more difficult to interact with others given his rather awkward mannerisms - but partnerships of the romantic variety were a different matter entirely.
Now, this wasn't necessarily due to the fact that Suho disliked people. No, not even remotely. Genuinely, he was a very nice guy and having friends was, well, pretty spectacular to say the least. After all, it was always wonderful having someone to talk to your problems with... or someone that you could fix, since Suho was undeniably a 'fixer' and had a terrible habit of clinging to those whom he'd deemed in need of his 'help'. Whether that were actually the case or not.
This situation was no different. Or maybe it was when Suho actually stopped to think about it. This particular guy was certainly a bit different, anyway. His name was Lee Minhyuk and he was a member of Bullworth's soccer team, precisely like Suho happened to be. And whether it had been his intention or not, Minhyuk had successfully managed to peak Suho's interest right from the very beginning. He was bright, energetic, his movements were beyond exaggerated, and, furthermore, he was mute -- and perhaps that's what had instantly drawn Suho towards him. His circumstances were so different from others, they were undoubtedly more difficult, and even so Minhyuk lived his life more fully than nearly everyone else that Suho had encountered throughout the duration of his life thus far.
Why, then, had he not taken it upon himself to make some sort of move? In his mind, it was simple... he was waiting for the ideal moment to do so. Well, that and he felt that at least ninety-nine percent of the time he was making a complete fool of himself in front of the other. Unless, of course, they were both trapped inside the Twilight Zone and walking face first into the goal post was what you'd call 'smooth'.
Finally, though, Suho felt as though he'd been handed the perfect opportunity. Oftentimes, Suho would attend Bullworth Academy's sporting events - he may not have been total jock, but he still enjoyed cheering their school's teams on - and as fate would have it, Minhyuk apparently enjoyed doing the same. Please, for the love of what little sanity that I have left, don't fall out of the stands. "Uh..." Taking and seat and scooting a bit closer to the younger male, Suho cautiously decided upon gently tapping the other's shoulder, quickly flashing Minhyuk a cheerful smile when he'd glanced over.
