I hesitate to post this because it may be slightly controversial, and I may end up deleting it later - but I'm going to suggest something that may be difficult for us as super-connected fans and followers of Adam / Owl City.
I say we chill with the constant tweets to Adam. We all want Adam to know we exist. I'm certainly not immune from the desire to be acknowledged by someone that amazing and awesome. But he has so many obligations right now that no doubt it's probably rather overwhelming for him to juggle the obligations of his career and his commitment to us as fans. If he's struggling with that, maybe we need to take some of the pressure off of him by not tweeting him as much, and when we do, try to make it positive and encouraging.
I'm not saying we shouldn't have concerns and that Adam's done everything right with posts and tweets, but I suggest that we could help ease the pressure / stress on him by giving him some space. This is something we can control, so maybe we should try this.
I also think it might be good for him to stop with the twitter Q&As for a while. He has always been there for us. I would argue that of all the artists out there, Adam has been more accessible to us than anyone else. The twitter Q&As aren't an obligation for him. He has chosen to give us that time. I appreciate that, and I'm sure most of us do. But again, maybe this is taking away time Adam needs to unplug from everything going on in his crazy world. Besides, are we really learning anything new from these really random twitter chats? :)
Adam does appreciate us. I know he does. Just because he tweets something stupid - that doesn't mean he has forgotten that we are out there. Who among us on twitter hasn't tweeted a few stupid things? And we don't question our own salvation or faith or sanity over those things, do we? If we question Adam's based on random tweets, we need to remember one rule of the Hoot Owl fandom - never take Adam too seriously. The chaos comes when we read too much into 140 characters. :)
So, these are my random thoughts. Take 'em for what they are worth...but whether you agree or disagree, always P4AY.
