Raquel inside the Bank [Speculation]

Firstly, I think this decisions from the writers was a way to set the pieces (characters) on the board - all of this is basically a giant game of chess, remember? 

The season ending with Raquel in the Bank and Alicia in the Profesor's hideout got us all like: “Now what?”... 

Their positions have shifted and now we’ll see how it plays out, how they interact with other characters there and what sort of drama can be stirred up.

Besides, it's probably for the best (and I said this as a huge Marquillo fan) that Sergio and Raquel are going to be more physically apart next season, because after she finds out about his deal to have a baby with Nairobi (aka BabyGate)... 

Oooooh!!! We are in for it.

On another note, I don't think we saw the entirety of that scene in 4x01, when Tokyo tells the Profesor that she should be in charge inside Bank. We never saw the end of that scene, we never saw Tokyo leave the room and we never saw him actually agree to it (which I find interesting). 

It may very well be a part of Plan Paris that they would deliver the rescued one into the Bank in case things went awry (which they definitely have gone). 

The Profesor needs someone he trusts 100% to not screw up. And, in my opinion, there isn’t a single person inside the Bank he trusts that much... except Raquel. She knows the entire plan and all its contingencies (and she might be his ace in a hole). Not to mention that Raquel is used to stress and to commanding people - she was an Inspector for years and a f*cking great one.

Besides, she definitely knows parts of the plan that the others don't - the same way Berlin (who was in charge in the first heist) knew about plan Chernobyl when no one else did.

On the surface, the Profesor let Palermo take the lead - because he had been one of the original masterminds behind and is, as Sergio himself describes it, in love with the Plan/Heist.

But, deep down, he knew Palermo would screw up eventually. He’s too unpredictable, too volatile... 

He would definitely need a back-up plan in that regard.

So, what I’m thinking is... One of the following two is possible:

The Profesor agreed to let Tokyo take the lead on the heist, overthrowing Palermo. But, as a back-up of the back-up, he told Raquel/Lisboa that if there ever came a time to put Plan Paris into motion and the gang needed help on the inside - the one who got rescued (either him or Lisboa) would be taken there and take the lead, by force if necessary.

OR! The Professor and Tokyo come to an arrangement: if it ever comes to that and one of them (Profesor or Lisboa) need rescue and end up in the Bank, that them along with Tokyo would be co-captains of the gang.

Personally, I think Option 1 might be the most likely one.

Anyway, however it happens, I think that Raquel being inside the Bank is going to be a great help to the gang. She knows all the plan by heart, down to the itty bitty details, which I’m sure is going to come in handy in the future.

Morgana's arcana

Everyone’s hypothesizing who the traitor will be in P5 while I am desperately ignoring it and hoping with dear life that there is no traitor in the inner circle–good ending at least–and that it’s just an interrogation tactic used by the police.

While I am doing that, I’ve been thinking about Morgana, more specifically what their arcana will be.

Because I’m fairly sure they’ll be the automatic Social Link in the game not taking into account possible secret characters - of course, this is all assuming that the story and character types will run like previous Persona games. If that’s the case, and Morgana is the automatic link, we can assume that their arcana, like Death and Star from previous games, will be the one in which its themes are most important to the game.

The reveal for some other Co-ops narrowed down a lot of the choices but in the process killed the idea that Morgana would be the Devil or Tower of which I was fond of. All that’s left are pre-Death arcana with the possible exception of Aeon and arcana from different decks, which I won’t consider for simplicity’s sake (though with the revamped tarot designs I wouldn’t put it past Atlus to include a few new ones). 

Now I’m not sure if I have all the leftover ones right, but from the ideas I’ve seen, the Magician seems to fit fairly well, since it’s about action and spontaneity, and the arcana is often reserved for party members that join early in the game. The only other thing I think that could maybe fit is Strength, but that one’s a bit of a stretch and might not fit what we know of the game’s themes as well. 

Welp, lots of what-ifs and assumptions here but then again, what can you expect for a game that hasn’t even released yet? I’m not an expert on tarot so there’s a lot of room for adjustment and interpretation. Thoughts? Input? 

Now I’ll just be going back to my corner frantically wringing my hands as I wait in anticipation for this game that’s probably going to destroy me.

You know I really hope that Atlus decides to get fancy with their programming logic and the traitor is unknown until the player actually plays the game This way depending on your choices, any of your party members can be the traitor, and that way everyone's game is slightly different. It would create such a great dynamic and mystery to it not knowing directly. Plus imagining someone you think likes you suddenly betray you out of nowhere makes you question: where did I go wrong ? And how can I make them not do this my next play through ? But whatever they decide to do, one thing is for sure is that I'm going to love it

My idea for Persona 5

So, ignisthewanderer asked what I would think Persona 5 would be, so here's my opinion:

The way the main boss battles go would be a mixture of P3 and P4: The "Dark Hour" returns, and each Full moon would bring out a large shadow that represents an Arcana (starting from either Death or Temperance) and would go down the Major Arcana list and the final boss would be Judgement. The minor boss battles would be the shadows of your would-be teammates, which you could access at any time between the Arcana boss battles (but they will die/will not join if you miss their personal deadline). You start with three teammates who awaken to their persona, and your total roster is about 7 or 8 members (maybe two people can be rescued at a given interval). High school antics and such are still prevalent, but there are cameos from P3 and P4 characters who are aware of the situation are social links/extra things (or something like bonus bosses/challenges or something).

Once you complete the game once, you get something akin to "The Answer" in P3, but it is a flashback. It would be Elizabeth's adventure from the time she dismissed herself from Igor's service to the time before the start of P5 (only instead of having no Compendium, she can only regular and triple fuse personas).

And that's what I want from p5. Will that be it? Probably not. But it would make for an interesting game, imo.
