Hello and happy Worldbuilding Wednesday!

This is your opportunity to talk about your favourite bit of worldbuilding in ANY of your WIPs!

Hello! Thank you so much for the ask and I'm so sorry it took me a while to answer!

I admit I ADORE worldbuilding in general even though I'm very shy about it but I guess one of my favorite things is creating some nice and nasty little creechurs.

On the top 3 of fave creechurs I have to mention the Weeping Stones aka the Keptei. They are basically creatures with a vaguely humanoid design at times except their skin looks like stone and that's because that's what they turn into. And then they mimic teh cries of humans, mostly human children, to attrack any dumbass that passes by and then they absorb them and turn THEM into stone.

There's also the fact that in the world of A Curse Most Foul being a siren is very different than being a mermaid. Being a siren is very much like lycanthropy. If someone is unfortunate to simply get bitten or scratched by a siren instead of absolutely devoured they will from then on become a siren after the moon rises. This has created a tradition in places like the Ia-Bau Archipelago where criminals can be sentenced to being chained in a cove so they can see the sirens coming and with them their doom either way.

And finally some areas of the world have very very special terrain because thousands of years before those lands were actually just dragon territory, which has created some pretty cool environments and relationships over time, in particular with the dwarves, who love dragons and will often trade with them even in more recent times.

I just had to stare at this for a few seconds omg thank you so much first of all jkashak <3 

Second of all and for real it’s been I think 6 years?? since I started practicing digital art and even longer since I started drawing in general. I did have to stop for quite a while because my laptop broke and my tablet isn’t the best either. I was so afraid I had lost all skill but the moment I started up again it all came back and even tho it’s mediocre at best I’m really happy that I’m drawing again  🥺

Thanks for the kind words, lovebug. 💛 We are, and we keep each other accountable! Mental health is the most important thing right now as confinement prevails. We all gotta keep taking care of the people in our communities, especially those that keep spaces like this one going. This network is above all meant to be a safe space, and that concept is extended to us admins, not just members and the content.

As a note to everyone — this is a hard time with the uncertainty this pandemc brings. I get tensions are running high, but it’s extremely disappointing as an admin to see a member not just go on anon to demand things but lash out over reblogs. There are plenty of reasons why stuff isn’t queued up instantly and some do escape us. The algorithm is as alive in tumblr as in any other social media.

Spread love, not unwarranted stress. Don’t act in a way you would not want NCT to see is my advice to all. And remember to treat others as you would like to be treated.
