A Special Day || Self-Para
DATE: February 14, 2013
TIME: 8:02 AM
WHERE: Pierce-Lopez residence, Callie's bedroom
8:02 AM flashed in bright pink font across the screen of her iPhone as Beyonce's Who Run The World filtered throughout the phone's speakers. Callie was half tempted to throw the small device across the room, having no idea why she had set an alarm for that ridiculously early then it hit her. She had been super anxious to find out what was under her bed ever since Robyn had mentioned it the night before. Usually, she would have ignored Robyn's demands and if asked, she would have lied and said she waited, but this was different. The fact that it was Valentine's Day only made it all the more special and she really wanted to know what her sister was up to. Turning her head, she was thankful that Samantha was still asleep and seemed to not have been bothered by the chaos. Throwing her feet over the side of the bed, her feet landed in fuzzy Cookie Monster slippers as she eased off the bed, running a hand through her bed hair. She wasn't sure if she should just look now but her curiousity got the best of her. Calista pushed her hair back as she leaned down onto all fours and peered underneath her bedskirt. She half expected this to be a joke but when she was bet with a single pale rose and a small box, she couldn't help but gasp. Her arm outstretched to remove the items causing a small white note to fall in the process. Picking it up, she unfolded it, reading the words silently to herself. A small smile played on her lips the whole while and she was sure had anyone seen her, they would have thought she was crazy. It amazed her that Robyn would do this for her. It was so simple yet extraordinary in its own way. Calista had never been a big sucker for Valentine's Day so it wasn't a big deal and she hadn't expected to receive anything. She was almost certain Robyn wasn't into the whole romantic shit either so it was a surprise that she cared enough to at least acknowledge the occasion, even for Calista. Opening the box, the brunette stared wide eyed at the ring that sit against the jewelry pillow. It was beautiful and she almost didn't want to wear it, in fear of losing it but it was too beautiful not to. Callie pulled it carefully from the box and placed it on her finger, her eyes darting to the note rereading what Robyn said the direction meanings were. Her eyes then darted down to her hand noting the crown was facing away. As much as she wished that was the case, it wasn't. For now, anyways. Removing the jewel, she flipped it, and kissed the back of it before standing up and placing the note and box inside her nightstand and placing the rose atop it. There was no way she would be getting to sleep now. She was giddy to even attempt. Typing her hair up in a messy bun, she grabbed a big shirt from her dresser and pulled it over her sports bra and spanx before making her way towards the kitchen. It was no surprise that the entire house was quiet and everyone else was asleep and as much as she wanted to thank Robyn for it, she knew she had plenty of time to do that later with what she had planned. She would definitely show her how appreciative she was and she just hoped she could make Robyn feel just as special.
