Bacon & Knives // Imogen & Geneva
Imogen woke up at 8, like she usually would, but today she was going to visit a friend, so there was something special in the air. She showered and got dressed, and then made her way downstairs. She had asked her mother to get something ready for her to take to a friend’s house, which made her mother excited and happy for seeing that her daughter, who is usually shy, was actually making some friends. Her mother had prepared everything while Imogen was still sleeping, so there was a backpack full of food waiting for Imogen in the kitchen, she picked it up and thanked her mother for it, then she said goodbye to her parents and left.
She arrived at Geneva’s house at 9, like they had planned; she looked for the key of the house under the bushes and quickly found it, she opened the door and screamed “Geneva, I’m here!” Geneva’s house was neither too big nor too small, as a matter of fact it was quite simple house, but it had its special charm.
She turned left to the kitchen and started taking the food out of the backpack “Hurry up, my mother made something for us, it’s, humm … bacon and … eggs? Yes, bacon and eggs! Oh! There is also cake, and something else … God, my mother gave me enough food for breakfast and lunch!”
