How long had they been trying for now? Soohyun would admit that he felt like it had been far longer than it was. Emotionally. His thumb lightly stroking circles into Suzy’s hand, the fingers laced with his and the hand of the girl he loved. His wife. Everything had gone so well for them -- they’d had beat distance, and time. But here they were, knowing again that it didn’t work. “We can try again, if you want to,” Soohyun offered, tentative words. No matter how much he suffered each time, it would have been worse for her. They wanted one thing. A baby.
They tried together, and then they tried IVF. Soohyun didn’t care about the money, he cared about Suzy. His gaze drew up to look at his wife, his hand soon reaching out to cup over her cheek and kisses pressed softly to the side of her head. “I don’t care how much it costs. I want to have a baby with you.” Soohyun stated, wanting her to know that he wasn’t going to give up as long as she wanted to. But this time, it felt different. It came with a tiredness. Not only did he feel it, he felt that he could read it on Suzy too. Their trying, the tests that came back negative and the ones that said they shouldn’t be having any trouble. Soohyun exhaled, squeezing Suzy’s hand before he studied her, patiently. “I love you, always.”
