&&. Blood is Thicker than Water || Hav, Jude & Mabel
Jude.
It’s been quite awhile since Jude saw Val and he was nervous, to say the least. It also worried him that Nate hadn’t seen him yet -- which, on the other hand, he completely understood since he was going through quite a rough time. As he left his dorm he thought about what he was supposed to do when Val would call him ‘daddy’. Assuming that since neither Nate nor him had visited him in awhile, the young boy wouldn’t even recognize him. It made him sad to think about that, though. Despite staying with a loving family and Havana taking good care of him as well, he couldn’t imagine what it must be like to know his father refuses to see him. But then again; Nate had gone through the exact same thing.
It was too warm outside and Jude quickly took off his coat. He walked towards the gate, a spot where they had decided to meet. As a blonde girl already stood there, checking her phone, he decided to smile. Having absolutely no idea who she was, he stopped walking and patiently waited for Havana to show up.
Mabel.
Mabel felt thrilled to finally see Val after all these months. She still remembered the first time her mum had walked into her room to tell her Havana was pregnant. She’d been quite surprised, wondering how someone like Havana had managed to get herself in such a reckless situation. Mabel had promised herself to call her immediately, but her mother had wisely told her that it wouldn’t be a good idea since she assumed they weren’t supposed to know. And, unfortunately enough, Mabel never received a text from her, telling her the news. She understood, though. Her niece was probably too busy with her own problems and even if she had send her something, Mabel probably wouldn’t have noticed since she was too busy with her own life.
As she was standing outside at the gate, she scrolled through Instagram. Seeing photos of her friends kind of made her realize she missed them, but she quickly reminded herself she was okay with it. QESA was a whole new opportunity for her and she couldn’t wait to see what the future held for her. Seeing a boy walking towards her with a hesitated smile on his face -- she assumed it was Jude --- made her immediately smile back.
