It took no more than ten minutes for Eddie to walk home and gather some of the things he needed. Water bottles? Check. Extra hat because he knew his was going to be stolen by Rae? Check. After double checking to make sure his phone was at least decently charged before he stepped out. For the first time in what seemed like a long time, Eddie left the house carefree. He wanted to enjoy this afternoon. Standing on the corner Rae and he agreed on he lifted the hat off his head in greeting. “I brought an extra one ‘cause I figured trying to keep the straw one away would be no use.”
