Lions/PAAO Award in Blindness Prevention to Recognize Excellence in Uruguay
Nominations are now being accepted for the Lions/PAAO Award in Blindness Prevention. This award will be presented at the 23rd Pan-American Regional Course in Ophthalmology, to be hosted in Punta del Este, Uruguay in May 2014.
The award will be granted to a Uruguayan ophthalmologist who has demonstrated a strong commitment to providing and developing eye care services in underserved communities throughout Uruguay. The award is made possible through LCIF’s SightFirst program and includes a US$1,000 grant and travel budget to attend the regional course.
