Lexember #7 : éeŧi
Conlang: Paatara
My most recent conlang, and the most in need for basic vocabulary.
The word
éeŧi /ˈeːt̪i/, pn: “we, us (tonic form)”
Declension
Personal pronouns do not inflect for the same cases as regular nouns. In addition to an accusative case, they also have a clitic form after conjunctions (varying in vocalic height depending on the latter’s vowel).
N: éeŧi
Acc: uŧíi
G: uŧík
D: uŧéf
L: uŧír
Clitic form: -ŧee, -ŧaa
Example
Kamp uŧíi təšá eagle<DEF> we.ACC PFV\see-PST.3s “the eagle saw us”
Legacy
I don’t know yet how it would wind up to be in the daughter languages (regularized inflection? disparition?); it’s certain however that no language from other families would have borrowed it.
