Planning the Message | Ace & Melody

For Melody, the day always started early. She woke up at quarter past six, went downstairs to ask Mrs. Henderson to fix her some breakfast, greeted her two dogs and went back upstairs to shower as she waited for her housekeeper to finish making her breakfast. After the shower, she put on her makeup and the outfit she’d chosen the night before. Melody had chosen a simple button down shirt and pants and a pair of over-the-knee boots to complete the outfit. Once she was dressed, Melody brought her purse downstairs, ate the breakfast in the breakfast bar and then jumped off of the stool and grabbed the keys to her white Maserati Quattroporte GTS Gransport and left for the office.

Today’s first appointment was Ace Lawrence. The man who recruited her, a man she considered a friend. Why he decided to summon her into his office first thing in the morning, she had no idea. But there was only one way to find out and it was to grant his wish. “You wanted to see me?” Melody asked Ace upon entering his office, without even bother knocking. “This better be good,” the blonde said as she sat across from Ace.

Time out || Para

Flora was sat alone on the lobby when she heard a couple of nurses talking about a tribute that was left in a bad state by another one. Curious and almost sure that Pace or Slate were involved in that, she decided to listen, quickly discovering that her suspicions were correct. After hearing the whole story she allowed herself to sunk on the couch. Pace, Phoenix and apparently Conner had come to help. Great, she thought. I'm dating a homophobic!

Standing up, she decided to try and find Phoenix. The poor guy...As usual, she would have to try and say sorry for a mistake that wasn't hers because, if she was honest, making enemies before entering the Arena took out a big part of the fun involved in killing supplicant children. She was about to press the elevators button when the doors open and Pace got out. He smiled when he saw her, but Flora stared at him a straight face. 

"Oh you're so screwed with me," she laughed sarcastically. "Get back in the elevator." She stuck her finger as he looked at her with surprise in his eyes. "Now!" She demanded, with the lecturing tone of a mother.

Feelings and stuff... || Para

The training was finally over and Flora was happily seeing the moment to get in the Arena getting closer. But now she had time to do something she wouldn't be able to concentrate on once the real Games started. Pace. She wanted to have more time with him before having cameras following her every move. And they had left something unfinished. 

She got up of her bead and out of her room, praying that no one would see her. Walking on her tiptoes she pressed the elevator's button, anxiously waiting for the doors to open. When they did, Flora got in already smiling and pressed the button marked with a big, red 1. She had no idea why she wanted to go there, she just did. And more then finishing what they had started she wanted to have a trivial talk, but, knowing Pace and herself, that probably wouldn't happen.

A soft bump told her she was in his suite and she warily got up, making sure no one is there. Suddenly, a big smile spread along her expression when she saw Pace sitting on the sofa. "Goodnight," she purred, walking over to him.

What now? || Para

It was lunch time finally. To be honest, it was still a little early but Flora wanted to take a break, so she decided to, once again, take it sooner. Entering the canteen, the first person she saw was Pace, casually sitting on the further table. Walking slowly, the last night came to her mind. Shivers still went down her spine just thinking about it, of how vulnerable she looked and about how great he was, it was. Placing her tray on another table, she covered his eyes. Hopefully, he wouldn't mind. "Hello, my lover," she said, with a dramatic accent as he uncovered his eyes. Everything about them was fun and that was all they both needed.

Heart Thieves || Para's Para

Flora was sitting done at a table, her food already gone. Everyone around seemed to be having fun, lost in trivial conversations. And Flora? The girl was buried in dark thoughts for the first time since she had been reaped. The day her parents tried to make her stay until the last moment. She needed to stop thinking about these things. Keep yourself busy, Flora, she said to herself. Keep yourself busy.

She looked around, trying to find something to distract herself with and she saw the best person she could have at that moment. Pace. With a tray in hand. He was exactly what she needed. With an unstoppable smile, she motioned for him to join her.

"I already ate, but I can just stare at you while you eat. And steal your food," she said as he sat down.

Flora allowed Slate to walk away before stepping out of the chariot. She was enjoying her costume, it made her look heartless and, at the same time, it seemed to give her the humanity she needed to get people to trust her. With a quick glance at the room, she decided it was time to enchant her co-tributes, so she walked nattily to the first person that caught her attention.

"Goodnight," she greeted. "District One, right?" Flora extended her hand, with the palm facing down. "I think I can tell." With a wink, she studied the boy. Tall, strong and apparently charming, the right kind of career.
