I just wanted to say before September ends
HAPPY LATINO MONTH
I believe it’s important to remember especially when people say that Mexicans “need to go back to their country” that’s the USA stole huge parts of Mexico and there are many Mexican families who have lived on this land for longer than most Americans. I will use an example from my step family they are from Mexico (some are half white) my stepmom’s family has lived in what’s now Texas since before it was Texas of course i believe it should be easier and a less racist process to be able to imgrate to the USA especially since it’s a wealthier (stronger economy) than a lot countries (will see how long that is true) for so many people America is safer. Most importantly children of undocumented immigrants are born here and their parents are being taken away ICE takesinnocent people who’s only crime is not doing a very complicated process to become a citizen fast enough
Mexicans (or people perceived to be) are disproportionately targeted by ICE even legal citizens (some been here their whole life) are not safe for ICE
White immigrants are not on the radar of ICE
If ICE actually cared about drug smuggling they would actually check background of the people they put in person and they wouldn’t just target immigrants because drug smuggling is a crime committed by people born in America to so people can’t even say that’s the reason for ICE
