"We are the crew of seven vaka, coming from all over the Pacific: Aotearoa, Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tahiti, and Tonga. At the beginning of April 2011 we started our voyage across the Pacific. We sailed from Aotearoa across to Hawaii to meet our Northern voyaging family there. We are now in San Diego preparing for the next leg starting January 24 2012."
I pray for safe travels to everyone on this voyage, I had an opportunity to meet some of them when they sailed to San Diego, where the Gaualofa had a fundraiser, they are all such amazing people! Also liked to say safe travels especially to my cousin Kalolo on the Samoan canoe, Gaualofa <3
