There’s probably this misconception that when Mono finds food, he anchors down and eats until he’s full.
It’s more of a process. He’ll turn into a piranha when it comes to foods (foods and things hard to come by), but if you eat too much and too fast all at once, your body will revolt. Some kids go so long without food, solids can be hard to manage. This is why sometimes Mono will shove food into water and make a slurry
A lot of kid food culture depends on the kid too. How good they are of a scavenger, if they’re in pack or not. Even pack kids have different reasons for share foods -
“I give you food. Let’s be friends.”
“I have too much food. I like you. Have some of mine.”
“Here is food. Plz don’t eat me.”
Food being hard to locate and then having limits on how much the kid can reasonably eat, helps encourage food sharing.
