Yesterday's @ambulanteca movie screenings were very educational and entertaining – something that the Ambulante film festivals never fail to employ. "El patio de mi casa," which was screened at @mendpoverty, is a tribute documentary to the director's parents who use their knowledge to teach and continue learning from the indigenous communities of México. "We Like It Like That," which was screened at the #PacoimaCityHall, is an educational documentary about the history of 1960s Latin boogaloo, a fusion of soul music, rhythm and blues with Cuban mambo and son (NOT salsa). #Pacoima #MEND (at MEND Poverty)
