welcome back everybody! as we mentioned in our last post the team has been hard at work to bring you a refreshing breeze during this sweltering summer season, and we are so excited to officially kick off our buzz! over the next week+ we'll be giving you insights to what we've been tinkering with, previews of our app, member groups, as well as getting to know you all so much better by hosting our daily challenges & interactions over on discord. we highly recommend you jump in once it starts on july 7th because we'll be giving away prizes for those who participate! without further ado let's introduce you to our team & give you a break down of whats to come!
while we're sure two of our playable cities don't need much introduction, los angeles & san francisco being some of the most iconic and influential places to exist, we've got some details to cover especially when it comes to our fictional town of southport, ca. take a little journey with us down the california coastline to explore what unique things each place has to offer.

welcome to our final preview before opening. guys, we're almost there! todays sneak peek is a good one, and focuses on our greater app details! we'll be using a profile app style which includes a character breakdown, lifestyle segment, connections focus, an active tracker, as well as a freeform section with a variety of coded options to give us a good perspective into who they are. for a full breakdown, we've included it into an easy to follow google doc!
we've gotten some asks so we want to make sure you have all the information you might need! in order to do that, it has come to our attention that releasing our rules sooner rather than later might be best. as such, below the cut you'll find our full site rules, pulled from the site itself. as always if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us in the ask an admin channel of our server or open a ticket to start a discussion with staff.
community
At #PADAMRP, we are committed to creating a bubbly and refreshing atmosphere filled with inclusivity, respect, and sunny dispositions. We believe that roleplaying is truly a hobby meant to be enjoyed, rather than a burdensome chore. Be kind to your fellow popsicles, and report any instances of bullying, harassment, or disrespect to a staff member promptly by using our Discord ticketing system. Make sure when jumping into new threads with new friends that you’re keeping one another's writing frequencies and preferences in mind, so all parties' expectations are met. These rules and guidelines also apply to our site Discord, which is mandatory to join for proper sorting upon completing your application.

As a Jcink Premium hosted site, we will be allowing mature content (a 3/3/3 rating) and we require all of our members and characters to be 18+ years of age. To respect all of your fellow writers, please ensure you’re properly tagging your thread titles, development boards, and anything else that needs it with an [m], [tw], or [cw] tag at the beginning of the topic title, and utilize the correct indicator at the top of those threads located within our site codes. Currently we do not have any plots that we are restricting, especially since we have two of the largest US cities on our site. As the community grows, if things start to feel unbalanced we reserve the right to consider limitations if necessary, with full transparency to our members.
activity
With activity being a key piece to moving a site forward, we recognize its importance as well as the differences of how everyone chooses to roleplay. To maintain an active status, we request a minimum of 1 thread post or 5 communication replies every 2 weeks per character. Our staff will conduct activity checks on the 1st and 15th of each month to ensure participation. In the event of inactivity, a private message will be sent to guide you through the reactivation process. You will have a grace period of 72 hours (3 days) to reactivate before your character's claims are removed. After 3 consecutive months of being inactive, we will be deleting unused character profiles. If real life calls and you need a break, we completely understand and just ask that you post an absence here; for absences exceeding 2 weeks, kindly contact staff for approval of an extended notice.
portrayals
We allow faces that are 18+ years of age and fall into one of the following categories:
- actors,
- signed models,
- musicians,
- athletes,
- and verified social media stars with over 500k followers.
Characters are eligible to be played within 7 +/- years of their actual age. We ask you to utilize recent photos if possible and to exclude any photos of portrayal prior to their 18th birthday. We do not allow face claims that:
- have passed on,
- have explicitly asked to not be used for roleplaying purposes,
- are adult film stars,
- or those in which age and/or ethnicity can not be easily verified.
When it comes to ethnicities and race, the face and character must match, as we do not allow white washing of any form on site. Also, we ask that nonbinary and transgender faces be played as their respective identifiers, as to respect their personhood. While we are not here to dictate your choice in plots, we do not want to see clear stereotypes of any race, sexuality, or gender identity. If we feel like something is not in line with our values, we will reach out privately.
registration
Register your accounts with your characters first and last name in all lowercase (i.e. jane doe). If you need to modify this at any time, you may do so without admin approval by heading over to your user CP. Keep in mind, we do not allow duplicate first names unless there is a difference in spelling, and only allow duplicate last names if the characters have a familial relation or it is a cultural norm. In a similar vein, we do require some difference in member names either. If someone has already joined under your typical alias, please include a designator to the end to help clear up confusion (i.e. if there is already a marie, go by maria or marie 2).
aesthetics
When it comes to graphics, ensure that the images being used are appropriate, not explicit. If you’re questioning if it’s suitable, feel free to reach out to staff directly by utilizing our ticketing system within discord. Should you need any help whatsoever with graphics, we have also hosted a specific graphics-help section on our site chat where we will be happy to assist. In order to be accepted onto the site, we do require your profile images to be completely filled out, which includes:
- one still avatar 250X450,
- one 200X100 gif,
- and three 150X150 gifs.
Please ensure one of your 150x150 gifs has been uploaded into the avatar settings for proper completion.
