(specifically hellenic) paganism is very interesting to me & i do feel a connection to it but we’re mixed & latina and ive only seen white people? in terms of pagans? which i know that’s not the case but idk im hesitant to practice that faith just because i feel like it’d feel lonely or something?or like… i’m hesitant because i don’t want to feel alienated from that community & like… i also feel guilty about not practicing the religion and practices of our ancestors if that makes any sense & also like… idk it just seems like a majority white practice so?(we do pass as white but it’s still rlly alienating/uncomfortable to be in … majority white spaces?and we’re open about being mixed and i just… have seen a few white supremacists in european based polytheistic religions?? or like… “you have to be white/european to participate in this”??)
May have posted some of these before lol, but nbd! My altar, some cool tarot spreads, my face & such. Just feel like sharing!
Some things I'm studying! I've always been pulled to Druidism, especially the way it is tied to my Celtic ancestry. I've always been tied to trees; studying the Ogham is a natural step! And of course, here are some awesome tarot spreads to try (credits to Pinterest). I hope you enjoy!
I've been doing research into PoC and Paganism. Partially because it interests me and partially because I want some short stories I've had bouncing around in my head to be based on fact.
I was dismayed to find out about the racism steeped in modern day Paganism. People being told what gods to worship and being ostracized from rituals.
Black women being propositioned for sex. Like, even if it wasn't that kinda party.
By the way, I stumbled across these experiences because its damn hard to find any books on Pagan experiences written by PoC. Majority white people.
